How to order?

You can order on our website, quickly and easily. PayPal processes all your card details safely without passing them on to us. You can order by email, by post (with a check), or you can call us on 1.888.530.5486. We are always delighted to help!

What if my order is urgent?

If you require something urgently, please call us, and we will do our best to get it to you on time.

Do you charge sales tax?

We are required by law to collect state sales tax on orders being shipped to addresses in USA.

How do I use a promo code?

If you sign up for our email newsletter or “like” us on Facebook and Twitter you will start receiving some fun perks, like the occasional promo code for a limited-time discount on select items. To use a code, simply enter it during checkout.

How quickly is my order processed?

Most orders are processed within 24 hours of receipt. Orders placed on Friday after 12:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday will be processed the following Monday. All purchases are subject to bank authorization prior to processing. Only authorized purchases may be processed and shipped.

Does anyone else see the information that I provide to Folium Medica?

We respect your privacy. Any information you might provide us with will not be given to any third party.

Where’s my favorite product?

Since we make everything fresh, we sometimes experience delays, but we will let you know by email or phone if that is the case. If an item selected is temporarily out of stock at the time of your order, you will not be able to add the item to your cart. Please contact us to inquire about when the product will be available for purchase.

Do you accept international orders?

We can currently ship orders to addresses in the USA only.

 

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

What is your return policy?

If you are not satisfied with any product you receive from your online order, you can return or exchange it within 30 days of your invoice date. No questions asked.

How do I return something?

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the unused portion, and we will be happy to reimburse you for the full amount.

We recommend that your return or exchange is sent via UPS or insured Parcel Post for your protection and to insure prompt delivery. We’re sorry, but return shipping fees are not refundable. Only items purchased on foliummedica.com and through our approved retailers will be accepted for return or exchange.

What about discounted items?

If your item was purchased at a discounted price, a refund will be processed in the amount that was paid for the item. If you’d like to exchange a discounted item for a higher valued item, you will need to pay the difference between the current value for the higher valued item and the price paid for the discounted item. Sorry, we can’t apply discounts that are no longer valid on current items.

How do I cancel an order?

To cancel an order you must contact us ASAP to process the cancellation. Orders usually ship within 24 hours of being placed. You can submit your cancellation request online or by calling our toll free number 1.888.530.5486 or 847.826.5315.

What if my products arrive damaged?

If your package was damaged in shipment by the carrier, save the box and merchandise and notify us immediately at info@foliummedica.com or by calling 1.888.530.5486. Damaged items will be replaced at no cost to you.

 

PRODUCTS

Do you offer refills?

If you would like to have a product refilled, and take advantage of our 20% refilling discount, please notify us in an email first. Mail your bottles, and we will refill them for you. Please only send bottles to us if you want them refilled. If you want to recycle them, please use your local recycling facilities.

Some product may vary in color. Why?

We use botanical ingredients which, due to natural crop variation, season, and location of harvest, may vary in color. We don`t use any additives or coloring so each product will have a natural variation in color.

Can I use Folium Medica products while pregnant?

Although completely natural we recommend researching each ingredient for any contraindications if pregnant, seriously ill, or in case of any chronic disease. Our products have not been evaluated by the FDA and have not been formulated to treat or cure any health condition.

Should I worry about allergic reactions to your products?

If you are allergic to any foods or substances, you will need to check our labels carefully. We try to use ingredients that are not allergenics. Essential oils are powerful substances. We believe our products are safe for the most sensitive skin, yet some people still may have a reaction, so we strongly suggest you try the product on a small patch first.

I replaced daily moisturizer with facial oil. Why am I breaking out?

Breaking out initially is normal as skin goes as the skin flushes out toxins and impurities from deeper layers. This transitional period can last a month or longer and you will, at the same time, notice appearance of healthy glow of your skin.

How to store our products? What is the shelf life of your products?

We don`t add synthetic preservatives, so you will need to be more careful with our fresh products. Keep them in a cool, dark place out of the sun. Make sure your hands are clean when applying oils, or use a spoon or spatula to avoid contamination. Essential oils are natural preservatives and contain natural anti-oxidants, so you can expect your products to last for 12 months. We stamp all our products with an expiration date but you will also notice a stale smell of oil if it is rancid.

Do you use parabens or other synthetic ingredients?

No, absolutely not! We think skin care should be pure enough to eat. Some of what you put on your skin will enter your bloodstream, and will travel round your body. We only make products that we know have pure enough ingredients to be absorbed by skin; in fact we know our ingredients are healthy and nutritious. If it isn`t possible to make pure product, we don`t make it!

Are you a vegan cosmetics line?

We spend a great deal of time deciding on the best ingredients to make your skin healthy and beautiful. All our products are vegan. We only sell products that we have tried on friends and family, and that we like. Therefore we do not test anything on anyone else, certainly not on animals.

Are your products certified organic?

All Folium Medica products are 100% natural and free of any synthetic ingredients. Most of us have one problem or another and a lot of it is due to our consumption of skincare and food that is laced with chemicals. It can be difficult to get started, but it is really easy to live healthy when you get the hang of it! The golden rule we use is: if you don’t understand what is on the label, don’t buy it!

We are currently certification-free and here is why. Researching marketing and our perceived competitors we have learned that displaying logo on packaging doesn`t necessarily mean that product is 100% natural and safe – how unfortunate! Obtaining certification is long processes and therefore very expensive making business of certification a profitable one.

The problem with certification seals is that they are often associated with just perceived quality of the product, and can lead consumers into a false sense of safety. We believe that trusting relationship with customers starts with honest and correct labeling of ingredients, product effectiveness, and business transparency.

How often should I use facial masks and oils?

For maximum benefits, facial masks and oils should be used together as they act differently to support health of skin. Facial oils very often referred to as facial serums should be applied both morning & night while skin is still moist from cleansing. Simply use a couple of drops of oil and apply it to the face and décolleté. Oil will be fully absorbed within 5-10 min and based on the level of hydration of your skin you might need to apply few more drops; this is very common for all skin types. Moist skin is a perfect base for the foundation and make up application so your morning routine won`t be delayed.

Our facial masks are a powerful blend of clays and herbs and have dual action – to detoxify (clay) and nourish (herbs). Although grinded to the flower-like powder, herbal particles are still much stronger compared to clay particles and provide gentle exfoliation. Facial masks should be used at least once a week for deep cleansing and so much needed exfoliation, but they are gentle enough to be used every day.

Do you ship to Canada?

We only ship to USA at this time. We currently do not ship to Canada due to the additional taxes and fees imposed by customs that would be passed on to you. We are working to set up distribution channels to be able to ship internationally.
